Indiana Crop Improvement Association Names Craig Nelson Genetics Lab Director

Lafayette, IN (August 1, 2023) - The Indiana Crop Improvement Association (ICIA) announced that a seasoned veteran in agricultural seed testing, Craig Nelson, has been named Genetics Lab Director at ICIA.

Nelson brings with him more than 30 years of quality testing and laboratory operations experience as well as overall business management and business development. His first day with ICIA was July 31, 2023.

While Nelson spent most of his career in Wisconsin, he has roots in Indiana, having earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. He went on and earned his master’s degree in Agronomy at the University of Kentucky. His business network is far and wide, and ICIA looks forward to growing its reach with Nelson on board.
