Ames, IA (May 14, 2024) - The Iowa State University Seed Science Center is thrilled to introduce its newest team member, Jeffrey Williams, who joins as a Research Scientist III. 

In this role, Williams will play a crucial part in supporting molecular seed quality assurance, a vital aspect of the center’s operations within the National Seed Health System.

Bringing a wealth of expertise to the table, Williams holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in microbiology, earned from ISU. Prior to joining our team, he contributed his skills and knowledge at the Corteva Plant Diagnostic Lab in Johnston, IA.

For Williams, the opportunity to work at the SSC holds special significance. Not only does it allow him to utilize his expertise in a field he’s passionate about, but it also means he can be closer to home, enabling him to spend more quality time with his child.

The SSC extends their warmest welcome to Williams and looks forward to the invaluable contributions he will make to their team and the advancement of seed science at Iowa State University.
