Tom Vilsack
Alexandria, VA (March 11, 2021) - On March 1, the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) joined over 130 agricultural organizations in sending a letter to USDA Secretary Vilsack urging continued support for agricultural research and development programs.
According to the letter, “Increased funding of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s research and development programs will invest in our rural communities and give our farmers, ranchers, foresters, and producers the tools needed to manage current and future challenges they face, such as crop and livestock pests and diseases, invasive species, financial, and climate change.”
