The Sakata Seed Group has 19 research stations in 12 countries around the world, including Japan, and has established a global research organization. They have been collecting materials for breeding crops in various climates around the world and they have been developing varieties on research farms. Now that they have established a branch in Israel, they will actively gather information on cutting-edge technologies and develop breeding techniques in conjunction.
This is the fourth location for the Group in the Middle East, following the Sakata Middle East Office (in Jordan; a representative office was established in 1998), Sakata Turkey (in Turkey; a local subsidiary was established in 2011), and McAVET (in Jordan; a local subsidiary was acquired in 2017).
