(April 24, 2024) - The international research company Corteva Agriscience was recognized as the company with the best corporate reputation management in the Ukrainian rating "Reputation ACTIVists 2024" in the nomination "Agricultural sector – suppliers of agrochemicals and seeds."

The author of the rating is the PR-Service agency, which for the ninth time evaluates the results of corporate reputation management companies in specialized nominations.

For the third year in a row, Corteva received maximum points from the jury, including representatives of government agencies, industry print media and online projects, industry and investment associations, as well as public organizations, for the thorough and open work of the PR department. Experts highly appreciate the positive reaction of the target audiences to the company's PR activities, the company's crisis response strategy, creativity and systematic work with corporate social responsibility projects and initiatives to convey their results to society.

Corteva Agriscience is responsible for its reputation in the market, strictly adhering to the values it declares. Already at the beginning of the full-scale war unleashed by Russia, the company withdrew from the markets of Russia and Belarus and clearly conveys its pro-Ukrainian position to the public and farmers, which is one of the key reputational messages of Corteva in Ukraine.

Corteva actively communicates through the media the importance of leaving the aggressor countries and the inadmissibility of financing military operations. The company's core business is working with farmers, and Corteva is doing everything in its power to ensure they have access to modern innovations and cutting-edge genetics by offering discounted lending programs in cooperation with banks. Last year, Corteva donated Pioneer® brand corn, sunflower and winter rapeseed seeds to farmers in the affected regions under a program of cooperation with the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the company has allocated more than USD 2 million to support farmers and help affected and evacuated Ukrainians, as well as ensure the food security of communities. United States. Last year, Corteva received the Business Hero award from the European Business Association (EBA) for the company's strong contribution to supporting Ukrainians and developing a corporate social responsibility policy.

A separate area is the communication of the need to continue supporting women farmers from rural areas, who are a significant driver of community development and food security, but who found themselves in an extremely vulnerable state during the full-scale war. Taking care of them, Corteva continues the innovative training and grant program for women farmers from rural areas TalentA – in particular, in 2023, a record 134 farmers were trained, and four winners of the grant competition from different regions of Ukraine shared a grant fund of more than UAH 1 million.

"A full-scale war remains a significant challenge to the reputation of all companies, because a crisis situation of this scale checks all actions and statements of the company for compliance with the declared values. The refusal to work with the Russian market remains a significant reputational lever, which is becoming more and more important over time. Corteva immediately clearly emphasized its position and announced its withdrawal from the markets of Russia and Belarus. Despite the general economic challenges, we have a strong market position and a growing demand for our seeds and crop protection products, which indicates an increase in the number of farmers who choose to work with a responsible producer," says Anna Babich, Corporate Communications Manager for Central and Eastern Europe at Corteva Agriscience.
