Golden Harvest launches podcast miniseries for harvest 2021, available on Apple® Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Spotify®

Downers Grove, IL (October 13, 2021) – Golden Harvest announced the launch of “We’re All Ears” — a new podcast miniseries with episodes releasing weekly throughout harvest 2021. Farmers can tune in this fall to gain insights on local, national and global topics in agriculture to help them plan for the 2022 season and beyond.

Episodes cover agronomics, economics and more

Through conversations with agronomists, ag policy experts and others, “We’re All Ears” will discuss hot topics for corn and soybean farmers as they look ahead to next year, including:

  • Weather extremes throughout the Corn Belt and the management of resulting weeds, insects and diseases
  • U.S. corn and soybean market outlook and key policy issues, including ethanol and pesticides
  • International corn and soybean production updates
  • Carbon markets and sustainable solutions
  • Corn and soybean seed research, development and logistics
  • 2022 corn and soybean crop planning

“Harvest is a busy time, so we’re bringing timely insights directly to farmers in accessible, audio-only conversations that farmers can listen to on the go,” said Dave Young, Golden Harvest head of marketing. “We hope this podcast miniseries will be a tool to help farmers make any needed adjustments in their operations for the upcoming year.”

Hosted by an experienced farm broadcaster

“We’re All Ears” is hosted by Carah Hart, who is a familiar voice in ag radio. Hart was raised on a diversified crop and livestock farm in Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in agricultural journalism. Hart is currently a farm broadcaster and reporter at the Red River Farm Network and serves as vice-president for the National Association of Farm Broadcasting West Region.

“I would describe myself as a student of agriculture, rural America and the lives of the people who fill it,” said Hart. “That’s why I’m so thrilled to be a part of ‘We’re All Ears’. It combines all of the best parts of this industry to help farmers do what they do best — grow quality crops.”

Where to listen

“We’re All Ears” is available on multiple platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Spotify, in addition to the Golden Harvest website. Find it by searching “goldenharvestpodcast” on any of these platforms.

In the first episode, Hart is joined by Golden Harvest Agronomy Managers David Schlake and Steve Wilkens to discuss how corn and soybean farmers managed this season’s weather extremes and agronomic challenges, and what they can expect from harvest 2021. That episode is live now and new episodes will be posted weekly through the harvest season.

The Golden Harvest portfolio is available from Golden Harvest Seed Advisors, who combine high-yielding seed options with local agronomic knowledge and deliver a year-round, 365-day service commitment to doing whatever it takes to yield results for farmers.
