“It’s obvious that those on the fence about attending this year’s CSS event have decided that they need to be there,” says Jennifer Crouse, Senior Director of Meetings & Services. “These past two weeks have seen double the weekly registration increase over any prior week that registration has been open.”

The CSS & Seed Expo 2021 is shaping up to be the first major opportunity for the seed industry to come together after nearly two years apart during the pandemic, with a session series that reflects the timely issues facing the “next normal.”
A sustainability focus threads through the entire agenda, as the current state of topics such as supply chain operations, treated seed, ag technology innovations, testing and moving seed across borders are explored, along with a new meeting of the ASTA Sustainability Working Group.
Two general sessions will forecast the near future for top-of-mind issues, including the 2022 agricultural economic forecast by returning favorite Dan Basse and a new general session on Carbon Management, featuring speakers from Amazon, Boeing and several seed companies.

Featuring an all-new design, the “Villages” at the event will enable attendees to roam throughout the venue to areas where sessions and exhibitors match in content, with networking areas and a “Food Truck” small plates food festival throughout both towers of the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
New convention opportunities for participating companies were added to the website last week. Private company meeting registration and the new 2021-2022 Sponsorship Gallery are open now; exhibitor registration opened this week; and, attendee registration and the hotel block are scheduled to open by August 18.
ASTA is partnering with the Hyatt Regency Chicago to help member companies hold their own meetings and events in conjunction with the conference, with special package offers coming soon, for those who may have had to cancel their in-person meetings earlier this year.
