E-Series On-Line Short Courses

Based upon a seed industry-wide survey assessing continuous educational needs during the pandemic, we are launching a set of on-line short courses called the PBA E-Series.

This series utilizes an on-line format with the proven teaching models of our in-person courses, which focus on practical application and interaction with experienced instructors.

UC Davis Plant Breeding AcademySM Starts In September

The Seed Biotechnology Center at the University of California, Davis has organized a professional development course to teach the principles of plant breeding to seed industry personnel. This two-year course addresses the reduced numbers of plant breeders being trained in academic programs. Participants meet for six sessions over two years to develop and enhance the skills of industry personnel around the world to enable them to become independent plant breeders or to contribute to larger breeding programs.

2021-2022: September 13-18, 2021; February 7-12, 2022; June 6-11, 2022.

2022-2023: September 12-17, 2022; February 6-11, 2023; June 5-9, 2023.
