Nyon, Switzerland (January 26, 2021) - The International Seed Federation recently launched its own branded channel for delivering content and key messages online.
"We learned a lot last year about virtual engagement. As a result of the pandemic, we were very limited in having face to face engagement with our members and partners. In response we significantly increased our online activities, including successfully organizing a virtual congress, meetings, and roundtable discussions. We got a lot of positive feedback, and so we are using our learnings to build this additional and complementary means of communication," says Michael Keller, ISF Secretary General.
Channel World Seed will have year-long regular programming with episodes in the form of stories, interviews, panel discussions, roundtables, virtual tours, and instructional how-to’s.
"We will use this channel to communicate on topics that are priority to ISF as covered in the Key Strategic Objectives, such as plant breeding innovation, seed movement, sustainable business practices and others," says Keller.
The channel will broadcast episodes for general audiences, as well as exclusive content for members and partners on topics like business and trade.
The next episode will feature a tour of a gene bank on 27 January (Wed) 12:00 CET.
