Alexandria, VA (July 22, 2020) - The American Seed Trade Association's (ASTA) PLDC Virtual conference, held between May 19 and July 16, broke new records for the association’s summer conference participation with over 560 registered participants from 15 countries.
The recorded series of sessions is available for viewing on the PLDC Virtual website.
Based on the large increase in member engagement, and the ongoing travel restrictions and spread of the coronavirus around the United States, ASTA will soon be launching virtual components to its largest conferences, the CSS & Seed Expo 2020 in December and the 60th Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference in January 2021. ASTA continues to monitor developments related to government restrictions on live events as the situation evolves.
“With the huge potential for business networking and education that today’s virtual platforms provide, we are excited to extend this huge new audience to our exhibitors and participating companies, no matter what direction we need to go with the live events,” says Jennifer Crouse, ASTA’s Senior Director of Meetings & Services.
ASTA plans to open registration, at special discounted pricing, for the virtual components of its upcoming conferences in late summer 2020.
