Roseau, MN (May 13, 2020) - Northern Seed Trade Association (NSTA) Executive Director Liz Foust on Wednesday announced the first recipient of the NSTA Local Impact Scholarship.
On behalf of the NSTA Board of Directors, Foust says Grace Dragseth was selected as the recipient of the newly established scholarship for the 2020-2021 school year.
"Please join me in congratulating her on her selection for this award," Foust says.
The following is a letter Dragseth wrote regarding her selection for the award:
Dear Northern Seed Trade Association,
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to you for making the NSTA Local Impact Scholarship Award possible. I’m absolutely delighted to learn of my selection for this honor and I am extremely appreciative of all your wonderful support.
I am currently attending North Dakota State University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education with a minor in Extension/4H Youth Development. When I am done with college I hope to live on a working farm/ranch, teach Agriculture to High School students as well as work as a 4H Youth Development Extension Agent.
My personal goals are to promote the future of agriculture personally and professionally. I hope to influence the next generation of farmers, ranchers and agricultural professionals by keeping organizations like FFA and 4H alive.
Once again thank you for all of your amazing support. Your generous scholarship donation will certainly help keep my financial burdens a little lighter.
Sincerely yours,
Grace Dragseth
