Incotec and Croda Agriculture have released a white paper on artificial intelligence in agriculture, “How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming Agricultural Innovation.” The report was produced with input from experts across agricultural life sciences and AI. Contributors include Alister Campbell and Steve Tharp of ELN & Luma, Dotmatics; Tonny Otjens of Rijk Zwaan; Dr. Stephan Köhler of BASF; Professor Marc Salomon of the University of Amsterdam Business School; Dr. Marta Dobrowolska-Haywood of Croda; and Dr. Finn Bauer of Croda.
Drawing on insights from experts in agriculture, life sciences and artificial intelligence, the white paper explores the organizational changes required to move beyond isolated AI initiatives and become a truly AI-enabled business. It examines how proprietary data, scientific expertise, evolving business processes, trust and collaboration can help organizations create AI value at scale.
Dr. Finn Bauer, vice president of research and development for life sciences at Croda, said: “AI has the potential to shake up an industry whose approach to innovation hasn’t changed much for decades, delivering more innovation, faster. That could produce improved plants, coatings and treatments that make agriculture more productive, more resilient, and less damaging to ecosystems, even as the world places ever greater strains upon food production systems.”
The white paper can be downloaded from the Incotec website.
