Farmers’ Independent Research of Seed Technologies (FIRST) has announced the appointment of Karen Dahle as its new Operations Manager. Dahle brings nearly eight years of experience in operational efficiency, order fulfillment, and agricultural customer success, and started transitioning to this role at the beginning of September.
In her new role, Dahle will oversee all day-to-day operational activities, focusing on streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and scaling the company’s capabilities to meet increasing demand. Her leadership will be critical in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of the company’s independent seed performance reports. This is a new role for FIRST and will work closely with Jessie Bhalerao (FIRST Program Manager), who will remain focused on driving and supporting FIRST’s technical infrastructure into the future.

Dahle joins FIRST Seed Tests after serving as the Customer Experience Team Lead at Farmers Business Network. During her tenure, she led a high-performing team managing order and account support for thousands of members, while building, documenting, and refining operational processes. Karen’s deep agricultural roots, which began on a dairy farm in west central Minnesota, provide her with a valuable, firsthand understanding of the farmer's perspective. Having long been familiar with FIRST through family involvement in its trials and management, she brings not only operational expertise but also a strong commitment to advancing the organization’s mission and impact.
