The Specialty Crops Regulatory Assistance (SCRA) will be hosting a virtual Zoom workshop on October 28-30, 2025. This interactive, three-day workshop offers a unique opportunity for developers of genetically engineered crops to learn directly from USDA-APHIS, EPA, and FDA officials about the practical aspects of regulatory dossier development.
Using recent case studies, such as canker-resistant citrus, insect resistant/herbicide tolerant DP23211 maize, and gene-edited S4A strawberry, regulators and experts will walk participants through data requirements, dossier preparation, and review processes.
In addition to case studies, the program features an overview of U.S. regulatory agencies and their roles in the Coordinated Framework, an interactive Ask-the-Regulator Q&A, and presentations on Canadian regulations, field trials, and marketing strategies.
Participants will gain practical tools to simplify and demystify U.S. regulatory requirements, making this workshop valuable for companies, academics, and other potential developers.
The workshop will have early bird pricing at $300 dollars until September 19, after which it will be priced at $350.
The agenda for the workshop can be found here.
