The Illinois Seed Trade Association is pleased to welcome Devin Nichols to the Board of Directors — bringing his experience in plant breeding and his passion for agriculture to the ISTA Board of Directors.
Devin has been a Corn Breeder at Wyffels Hybrids since 2021, where he focuses on developing high-performing hybrids for growers across the Midwest. Prior to joining Wyffels, Devin spent 13 years as a Corn Breeder at Monsanto, gaining invaluable experience in both research and product development.
A proud Illini, Devin attended the University of Illinois from 1999 to 2008, earning his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Crop Sciences and his Ph.D. in Biology.
He lives in Rochester, Illinois with his wife, Margie, and their four daughters. In their free time, the Nichols family enjoys traveling together and has set a goal of visiting as many National Parks as they can — creating memories and instilling a love of nature in their girls along the way.
“It’s an honor to serve on the ISTA Board and to work alongside others who care deeply about supporting our industry and the people in it,” Devin says. “I look forward to helping move ISTA’s mission forward.”
