Swasti Reed named Western Business Support/Product Manager

Hall, NY (February 6, 2025) -  SEEDWAY, LLC announced that Swasti Reed has accepted her new role of Western Business Support / Product Manager.

Reed comes to SEEDWAY, LLC with a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Sciences and Agricultural Development
from the University of California Davis and a Master’s in Plant Breeding from Iowa State University. 

Reed has spent a decade in the research and product development realm of vegetable seeds; specifically leafy and brassica commodities. She has worked with vegetable seed suppliers Syngenta and more recently as a Product Development Manager of North America at Vilmorin Mikado USA prior to coming to SEEDWAY. 

In her new role, she will oversee lettuce, broccoli, and cauliflower from a product development perspective for both the East and West Coasts. Swasti brings a broad depth of knowledge and expertise in these crop categories and strong relationships with suppliers. Her Business Support role includes overseeing supplier relations, increase market share, identify key opportunities, and support Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) sales.

Zach Wortiska Named Northeast Vegetable Seed Region Sales Manager

Hall, NY (January 31, 2025) - SEEDWAY, LLC announced that Zach Wortiska has accepted his new role of Northeast Vegetable Seed Region Sales Manager. 

Wortiska joined the SEEDWAY team in March 2022 where he was hired as the California Sales Manager.

A 2011 graduate of California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo, Wortiska earned his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business and concentration in Farm Management. From 2011-2015, he started his career with Sakata Seed in sales and product development in the California Central Valley area. 

From 2017-2022, he then was hired to Grimmway Farms, based out of Bakersfield California where he started his role of Seed Operations Manager. In this position he oversaw all seed business for Grimmway Farms in all growing regions.

In his new role with SEEDWAY Wortiska will provide leadership for the Northeast Vegetable Seed Sales Team, as well as product selection, introduction, pricing strategies, inventory management, and planning trialing efforts across the Northeast market region. Utilizing a broad foundation of experience and knowledge in the industry,

Wortiska will work closely with customers, partners, salespeople, and supply partners in identifying product needs and solutions.

SEEDWAY Hires Jack Anderson as SowLogic Operations Manager

Hall, NY (January 29, 2025) - SEEDWAY, LLC announced that Jack Anderson has accepted the position within the Vegetable Seed Division as SowLogic Operations Manager.

In 2012, Anderson earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management in Ag and Natural Resources from the University of Florida. Anderson joins the SEEDWAY team with an extensive background in the vegetable transplant industry, having developed a deep understanding of the hard work and effort that goes into seeding, growing, and delivering quality transplants.

In his new role Anderson will be responsible for supporting the SowLogic Team, sales support, and identifying market and sales growth opportunities.

Anderson will be working alongside Craig Mathis, SowLogic Program Manager through a transition period as at this time Craig Mathis will now oversee the operations and sales side of SEEDWAY’s SowLogic program as the SowLogic Senior Director.
