Kona, Hawai‘i (January 2, 2025) - The National Association for Plant Breeding (NAPB) announced that the 2025 NAPB annual meeting will be held May 19-23 in Kona, Hawai‘i Island with registration now open. The meeting will take place at the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa.
The NAPB annual meeting provides unique opportunities for private and public sector plant breeders and students to network and build professional relationships. Experts from 40+ crops share innovative breeding strategies and discuss emerging technologies to advance the science of crop improvement. Open dialogue about plant breeding public policy issues are encouraged and facilitated. Students have the opportunity to present their research, meet with potential employers, and become acquainted with faculty and industry mentors from various institutions and geographies. Informational sessions offer opportunities to learn from plant breeders at all stages of career development.
