A note from ASTA’s former Senior Director, Special Projects, Pat Miller

Alexandria, VA (January 22, 2025) - "As I retire from my 18-year tenure with the American Seed Trade Association and 40-year career in agriculture policy, I find myself reflecting on the amazing journey we’ve shared on behalf of the seed industry. Together, we have celebrated successes, overcame challenges, and built a strong foundation for the future. I am deeply grateful for the connections I’ve made and the opportunities I’ve had to learn and grow alongside all of you. While I am stepping away from my current role, I remain enthusiastic about the association’s future and confident in its continued success. The talent, energy, and vision within the ASTA staff and membership ensure that the best is yet to come.
"If you are a seed producer in our great state of Texas, you might be hearing from me sooner rather than later; as of January 1, 2025, I have stepped into the role of Executive Director of the Texas Seed Trade Association. I look forward to this new chapter that allows me to retire while remaining connected to this wonderful industry.
"On a final note, thank you for the trust, camaraderie, and memories we’ve shared. I will treasure them always. Although I am retiring from ASTA, I know that our paths will cross again and hope to stay connected in new and meaningful ways. I expect there will be continued growth, exciting innovation, and professional fulfillment in the years ahead. It has been an honor and a privilege to be part of such a vibrant, dedicated, and supportive profession.
"Fish on and keep in touch,"
Pat Miller
