Greensboro, NC (October 29, 2024) – According to Syngenta, hundreds of growers and retailers across the Corn Belt gave Storen® corn herbicide overwhelmingly positive feedback during its first season on the market.

The product earned an average rating of 4.6 out of five stars, with many reviews highlighting how Storen restored growers’ confidence in achieving consistent residual weed control in corn.

“In our 53 years of farming, my brother and I have never seen weed control this consistent,” says Marvin Wiles, a grower from Plattsmouth, NE. “We absolutely plan on using Storen again next season.”

Wiles’s sentiments were echoed by other growers who reported "impressive" results with Storen.

“Storen exceeded my expectations by giving me the cleanest fields around,” says Jason Osborn, a grower from Lincoln, IL. “It kept my fields weed-free until canopy, and I’m expecting a clean field at harvest, so it was definitely worth the investment.”

Joe Hoeg, a grower from Traer, IA, also expressed his satisfaction with Storen.

“My fields were the cleanest they’ve been in years,” Hoeg says. “We had heavy rains this spring, so I applied Storen pre-emergence on some acres and post-emergence on others; but across all my fields, it provided control all the way to canopy and beyond.”

Shawn Hock, corn herbicide product lead from Syngenta, says he is excited to hear Storen delivered on its promise of providing clean rows and clear results for corn growers.

“Our goal with Storen was to develop a product for growers who were not satisfied with their current level of control of more than 70 weeds, including difficult species like Palmer amaranth and waterhemp,” Hock says. “The positive feedback from first-year users confirms Storen delivers the next-level residual weed control growers are looking for.”
