Company starts new subsidiary in Chile

(October 25, 2024) - Enza Zaden announces the opening of its new subsidiary in Chile, which the company says marks a significant step in the expansion of its operations in South America.

This strategic initiative underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and growth in the agricultural sector. Enza Zaden has been present in South America for many years through distributors in countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Peru, and Ecuador, as well as a station in Brazil.

According to the company, the choice of Chile as the new base of operations was motivated by its favorable climatic conditions and dynamic agricultural market.

“The expansion into Chile is a significant milestone for us," says Jean-Francois Hardouin, sales manager for South America. "The country offers a favorable environment for the development of advanced solutions in plant genetics, aligned with our mission to promote more efficient and sustainable agriculture. We are excited about the opportunities this new location will bring."

Hardouin notes the new office in Chile represents more than just a geographical expansion; "it is an important step to enhance our market knowledge and customer contact, aligning with our multilocal approach. It will enable us to better understand and respond to the unique needs of the Chilean market, ensuring more effective customer management and improved market access."

By investing in innovation, the company says it is planting the seeds for a tomorrow where everyone has access to healthy and high-quality food.
