Bloomington, MN (August 22, 2024) - Betaseed, North America’s premier sugarbeet brand, announces Brian Groulx as the new Sales Manager for its Michigan Sugar Region, serving sugarbeet producers in Michigan and Ontario, Canada.

“Michigan and Ontario’s unique and varied environmental challenges, due to the proximity to Lake Huron, present unique challenges to sugarbeet producers. Brian brings tenured experience and agronomic knowledge in this market that producers will find a valuable resource to assist them in achieving their crop production and profitability goals,” says Jason Evenson, Betaseed Brand Sales Leader.

“Brian has in-depth knowledge of all sugarbeet hybrids being sold in the Michigan Sugar Region, including hybrids with the latest CR+ trait from KWS Seeds for Cercospora Leaf Spot protection,” Evenson says. “Brian is committed to field and operational success to add to the strength of our team in that region. And many producers already have a relationship with Brian through his work during the past 15 years at Michigan Sugar Company, including his most recent role there leading the research group as Research Manager.”

Groulx resides in Munger, MI, with his wife and has a daughter attending college. He is actively involved with his local volunteer fire department, where he serves as captain.

Groulx will lead a team of seven Independent Sales Agents serving the region. He will start his new role on August 26 and will work alongside Rob Gerstenberger, the current Michigan Sugar Region Sales Manager, until his retirement on November 5. Gerstenberger has been an integral part of the Betaseed sales organization for more than 30 years, including 23 years as Sales Manager. He started as an Independent Sales Agent in 1992 and was hired as a Sales Manager in 2001.
