J. Douglas Boles was named president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation in July 2013. He is responsible for the daily operations of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and all the world-class racing events at the facility.
Prior to joining IMS, Boles was a founding partner of Panther Racing, at the time one of IndyCar Series’ most successful teams (winning 15 races and two INDYCAR Championships) and served as a co-owner and team chief operating officer from 1997 through early 2006 when he began his own law practice, primarily representing drivers, race teams and sponsors. Boles was named president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation in July 2013.

Roberts received a B.A. in Economics from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, and a Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University. Roberts was an Assistant and Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at The Ohio State University.
