Luke will support issues and crisis management

Greensboro, NC (July 8, 2024) ― Syngenta announced the appointment of Susan Luke as senior communications manager for Syngenta U.S. Crop Protection and Corporate Communications, effective July 8. She will report to Kathy Eichlin, head of U.S. Crop Protection and Corporate Communications.

In her new role, Luke will be responsible for working closely with the company’s Government Affairs and Legal teams on issues management throughout the United States. “I am excited to bring my passion for American agriculture to the team at Syngenta,” says Luke. “I look forward to working with the team and bringing my knowledge of the agriculture industry to help handle our most pressing issues in the United States.”

As a seasoned communicator, Luke brings experience in public and media relations, and a journalism background including serving as editor of Farm Journal and mainstream print and TV reporting and producing. She joins Syngenta from Bayer, where she most recently worked as a director of Global Issues and Crisis Communication for the Crop Science division. Previously, she managed external communications for Bayer’s North America business. In these roles, Luke worked across disciplines to engage journalists, confidently manage crises and issues, and advocate for the agriculture industry through media amplification and storytelling.
