Arcadia Biosciences develops and commercializes agriculture-based technologies that create value for growers and consumers while benefiting the environment and enhancing human health.

On January 7, 2009, Arcadia announced it has reached a research and commercial development agreement with Targeted Growth, Inc. (TGI), Seattle, WA for the development of non-GM herbicide-tolerant wheat.

Over the past ten years, TGI has applied modern breeding and biotechnology techniques to a variety of commercial and emerging crops to produce significant yield increases, already validated over multiple years and in large-scale field trials. TGI's current development programs include enhancements to corn, soybean, canola, rice, wheat, and camelina.

In this interview, Eric Rey answers questions about the development of Arcadia's non-GW herbicide tolerant wheat.
