Rocky Ford, CO (October 13, 2008) -– OLIVER MANUFACTURING COMPANY OF ROCKY FORD AND LA JUNTA has hired Jon E. Moreland of Rocky Ford, Colorado as its Sales Manager. Jon will take the lead in marketing and sales and oversee the development of product identity and public relations. Jon is a skilled negotiator with a solid background in marketing and business operations.

Most recently, Jon was involved in the retail equipment industry as the president of Moreland Implement Co., Inc., of Pueblo and Rocky Ford, CO., a 60 year old John Deere Dealer. While in the equipment industry, Jon was active in the Far West Equipment Dealer’s Association and was serving as 2nd Vice President of that organization.

Jon’s background also includes 3 years in San Francisco and 3 years in Denver as a licensed financial representative for Fidelity Investments.

Jon is heavily involved in the local community and currently serves as a Director of the Foundation for Rocky Ford Schools, President of the Rocky Ford Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of the Arkansas Valley Ag Symposium and is Past President of the Rocky Ford Lions Club and Past Executive Board Member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, of Ft. Collins, Colorado.
