Kyrgyzstan to Receive Seed Corn From Russia

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (Sept. 7) -– “By the end of September 2010 Kyrgyzstan will receive 1.5 thousand ton of seed corn from Russia,” stated vice Prime Minister Alexander Kostuk at the meeting with employees of subject departments where they discussed reaping.

First shipment of seeds has been started already, he said. Vice PM noted “it is necessary to consider how to help vulnerable people with seeds who are not able it by themselves.” “We have to expand crop acres by 30 thousands ha for winter crops; this allow to increase GDP by 1 billion soms,” said Mr. Kostuk.
