Charm Sciences Announces GIPSA-Approved ROSA FAST5 DON Quantitative Test KitDate Posted: January 13, 2012
The ROSA® FAST5 DON Quantitative Test is approved for official testing of DON in the U.S national grain inspection system. An official Certificate of Conformance from USDA/GIPSA (Certificate No. FGIS 2012-008) declares that the test kit met the accuracy specifications for the listed commodities at 0.5 to 5 ppm DON. The Charm ROSA® FAST5 DON Quantitative Test is an immunoreceptor assay test utilizing ROSA (Rapid One-Step Assay) lateral flow technology. The ROSA® FAST5 DON Quantitative Test delivers rapid, economical, accurate detection for DON in a convenient single strip. The test is simple to perform and yields results in 5 minutes on the standard ROSA equipment currently in use. Diluted extract is applied to the test strip, incubated for 5 minutes, and read on the ROSA-M Reader. “The ROSA® FAST5 DON Quantitative Test has been manufactured to reduce the assay time and meet the new GIPSA specifications required to quantitate DON in the field.” says Dr. Mark Tess, Mycotoxin Product Manager. Reader Ranges for DON: 0 to 1.5 ppm and 1 to 6 ppm and kits are available in 20, 100, and 500 tests. ____________________________________________________________________ Charm Sciences is a global leader in food safety, water quality and environmental diagnostics.
