INDIANAPOLIS (August 24, 2006) -– The National FFA Foundation announced today that Beck's Hybrids of Atlanta, Ind., has contributed $70,000 for support of the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. This gift will help support the activities and awards programs that will take place over the next seven years while the convention is being held in Beck's marketing area.

"We appreciate all that the FFA program does to help prepare our youth for leadership in agriculture and other areas of society," said Scott Beck, vice president, Beck's Hybrids. "We enjoy being a partner with the FFA organization."

"This latest contribution is an extension of the tremendous involvement that Beck's has maintained over the years with state and local FFA chapters," said Dennis Sargent, executive director of the National FFA Foundation.

The $70,000 check was presented to the National FFA Foundation just prior to Becknology Days, a field-day event held every year at their home facility near Atlanta, Ind. During this year's event, Beck's will celebrate their 70th Anniversary as a family-owned seed business.

FFA is a national youth organization of 490,017 student members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture with 7,210 local chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. FFA strives to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
