Fargo, ND (August 28, 2018) - Thunder Seed is pleased to announce it’s recent hire of Nikki Naas, who has joined the team as a Climate FieldView Specialist. In this new role, Naas will promote Climate’s FieldView management tools in order to help Thunder Seed farmers to make more informed decisions about their crop.
When asked what makes Nikki most excited to work for Thunder Seed, she knew her top reason immediately. She expressed her excitement for the chance to travel to various Thunder Seed partner farms. In addition, Naas looks forward to expanding her knowledge of the agriculture industry.
She comes to Thunder Seed from a previous role with Central Plains Ag Services where she offered fertilizer, chemical, and seed recommendations as a Sales Agronomist. Prior to her post-graduation employment, Nikki is fifth generation on the Naas family wheat and soy bean farm with her parents and younger brother, followed by her ag studies at North Dakota State University. She majored in Agricultural Economics, minored in Crop and Weed Sciences, and even had time to compete on the school Rodeo Team.
When Naas isn’t at work with Thunder Seed or helping out at the McVille, ND family farm, she is training her horses for barrel racing competitions.
Fargo, ND (August 29, 2018) - Thunder Seed is pleased to announce its recent hire of Todd Walker, who has joined the team as the Provincial Sales Manager of Manitoba and Southern Saskatchewan. In this new role, Walker will consult with Thunder Seed dealers and growers to understand the intricacies of each crop and help farmers make the right decisions about products to improve their farms. Todd will be a resource for Canadian Thunder Seed partners and perspective area clients.
Walkerhas worked in the agriculture industry for 25 years and has crossed paths with the Thunder Seed owners many times. He admires the ownership team’s down-to-earth attitudes as well as shares core values that made it easy for him to join the team. Walker also welcomes the chance to work closely with the Thunder Seed products he has been familiar with for years.
Walker’s history in ag is extensive. Born onto a farm in Souris Manitoba, he partnered with his father for several years. He received his diploma in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba and went on to earn the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists certificate in 1996. He left his family farm when he was approached by the retail-side of the industry and has worked in that area ever since.
When he isn’t on the job, Walkerand his wife, Kristie, enjoy outdoor activities. They fish, travel, and spend time on the nearby river with their bulldog, Rocky.
