Anuvia™ Plant Nutrients Signs Development Agreement with Bancella

ZELLWOOD, FL (May 8, 2018) - Anuvia Plant Nutrients has reached development agreement with Bancella to introduce SymTRX, Anuvia’s innovative bio-based high-efficiency plant nutrient to African farmers as part of its portfolio of products and services.

Bancella, a newly formed agricultural supplier, focuses on bio-based, chemical-light farming solutions for African farmers. The company is based in Mauritius, an African nation west of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean.

Bancella works with large corporate African farmers helping them adapt to more sustainable farming practices such as fortifying their soils using less chemicals and more organic based plant nutrients.

According to Bancella founder and CEO John Barnes, “This unique technology falls in line with our vision of providing sustainable solutions for the African agricultural industry. Anuvia’s high efficiency multi-nutrient fertilizer, SymTRX, will enable farmers to substitute conventional nutrients with a more sustainable nutrient package. Nitrogen application has been a growing challenge for farmers in Africa. SymTRX will be an important new tool for environmental stewardship as it increases nutrient availability and improves soil health.”

SymTRX is made by using multiple sources of organic waste materials. Its cutting-edge nutrient delivery technology slowly releases nutrients such as ammonium N and sulfur sulfate when growing plants need them most. It also contains up to 16% organic matter which contributes to soil health.

Anuvia Plant Nutrients CEO Amy Yoder says, “We are pleased that, through Bancella, our patented technology will bring important benefits to African farmers. Equally as important as sustainability is the economic benefit of improved yields. Soon African farmers, like U.S. farmers, will realize both the short term economic return and the long term environmental impact that help plants, people and the planet thrive.”

Bancella, a new African distributor supporting the growth and productivity of African agriculture, develops and markets highly efficient organic, chemical and bio-based product solutions. Their products and services contribute to a reduced carbon footprint and protect hectares of natural habitat while improving productivity of both large integrated and small holder farms in Africa.

Anuvia Plant Nutrients, headquartered in Zellwood, FL, is a company focused on a new innovative and patented way of manufacturing an enhanced efficiency fertilizer (EEF) for agricultural and turf industries. Anuvia addresses the three pillars of sustainability – social, environmental and economic – simultaneously by providing an avenue for organic materials to be used in a resource efficient and environmentally friendly manner that helps people, plants and the environment thrive.
