Lundell Plastics Corp. has introduced a new product to extend the life of steel augers: flighting wear shoes.
“Installing flighting wear shoes is like putting a wear liner on your auger,” says Vance Lundell, owner and president. “This is a breakthrough product that adds new life to steel augers.”
Modular Design
Lundell wear shoes are formed from high wear UHMW polyethylene. They are made in modular single-pitch pieces that are fastened to the face of new or existing auger flighting with smooth, flat-head, poly-capped bolts.
The modular design allows wear shoes to be installed on an entire auger or only on high wear areas such as the bottom intake area.
Specifications
Poly wear shoes are currently available for 4- through 24-inch-diameter augers.
Available in different pitches and thicknesses to fit most augers.
150 sizes currently available including right- and left-hand pitches.
Applications include transport augers, grain bin augers, grain carts, and combines.
Pre-drilled and pre-formed for special countersunk poly cap bolts.
Self-locking nuts included.
